Card Management

Maintain a high level of control over your card usage

Card Management is easy within Digital Banking!

Credit Union of Denver provides effective tools to help you take full control of your card's actions. These include:

  • Enhanced security - Two-factor authentication and Biometrics.
  • Ability to block cards - Misplaced your card? Use the block feature to temporarily prevent any transactions.
  • Set alerts - Be alerted via SMS text or email for all types of alerts you set.
    • Exceeding spending limits - Declines transactions that surpass the limit set by you, or a per transaction limit, or a per month limit.
    • Transaction alerts – Receive notifications of all transactions.
    • Spending alerts – Notification of pre-determined transaction amounts.
  • Set travel notifications – Notify C·U·D before traveling to avoid card use interruptions.
  • Report lost/stolen cards with replacement option – Self-service option to report and order a replacement card.
  • Review total rewards earned – Track total credit card reward points for merchandise and travel. 
  • Virtual cards – View your full card details.

Utilizing these tools allows you to maintain a high level of control while maintaining financial efficiencies.

FAQs About C·U·D Card Magement

With our new digital banking experience, you can utilize Card Management to self-serve select items on your Credit Union of Denver cards. To utilize Card Management:

Desktop:

  • Navigate to the “Cards” tab
  • Click on the card you wish to manage
  • Toggle through the various options, which include blocking the card, managing card alerts, blocking specific card controls including location and transaction types, ordering a replacement card, adding travel notices and initiating a balance transfer

Mobile:

  • Navigate to the “More” tab
  • Select “Cards”
  • Select “Card Management”
  • Select the card you wish to manage
  • Toggle through the various options, which include blocking the card, managing card alerts, blocking specific card controls including location and transaction types, ordering a replacement card, adding travel notices and initiating a balance transfer

Typically, responses arrive within two minutes, but timing may vary. You may experience delays or failures in delivery of an alert because of any of the following circumstances:

  1. Merchant delay in processing a transaction;
  2. Delays and/or failures attributable to network operators and telecommunications providers;
  3. If your mobile device is off or out of operating range of a carrier with an appropriate signal for SMS and/or data services;
  4. A variety of other wireless service and coverage conditions

Yes. Our first priority is to protect your personal information. If you ever receive a text message asking for your member number, account numbers or other personal information, DO NOT RESPOND!

No, as an authorized user you can only enroll one phone number per card. However, different cards may have different alert destinations.

To receive alerts, you will need to edit your phone number under Settings then Contact within Digital Banking. 

No. Text message alerts can only be sent via U.S. carriers and will only be receivable in the U.S. 

Yes, Card Management has alerts that you can select, inlcuding declined purchases. 

First, within Digital Banking lock your card.  This will make your card unusable. Under Card Management select the card you wish to report and go to Replacement Options to select a reason and follow the prompts.

There is no need to unsubscribe for this embedded service within Digital Banking. Its optional to use. 

Text messages are unique in that they can only hold 160 characters. Some commands require multiple messages to return all of the necessary information.
