The 250^th anniversary of the United States is nearing and there’s no shortage of exciting, fun Independence Day celebration activities. The best part. These events are all free to attend so you can celebrate with your friends and family without splurging.

1. The Great American Picnic at the Broomfield County Commons

On July 4^th, the City of Broomfield will be throwing their annual Great American Picnic that has something for the whole family. Attractions include inflatables, food vendors, a 21+ beer garden, and a one-of-a-kind bike parade. The night concludes with a dazzling firework show at 9:15pm.

2. Big Belmar Bash

On July 3^rd, the Big Belmar Bash is inviting everyone to come enjoy the festivities with a live band, plenty of local vendors including Credit Union of Denver, and a drone show at 9:15pm. Plus, this event is dog friendly.

3. Indy Eve at Civic Center Park

Starting at 5pm on July 3^rd, the City of Denver is throwing Indy Eve. A free, interactive, all ages event complete with a food/retail night market full of local Denver food and artisans, roaming performers from the Circus Foundry, and a Kids Art Zone. Bringing the night to an end, there will be the drone show above the Denver Art Museum and Denver Public Library starting at 9:40pm.

4. 4^th of July Spectacular at the Aurora Municipal Center

If live music, free face paint, food trucks, and fireworks are your thing, you have to attend the 4^th of July Spectacular in Aurora, CO. It’s from 6-10pm with the firework show starting at 9:30pm.

5. Independence Day Celebration in Lone Tree

The City of Lone Tree is throwing their biggest event of the year this 4^th of July, all day at Prairie Sky Park. Kicking the day off with a Family Fun Ride & Stroll at 9am and ending the night with a live firework show at 9:30pm, visible from Prairie Sky Park. For the Party in the Park make sure to bring blankets, coolers, chairs, and of course your friends and family.
